What to include

Most questions about these tools are answerable in one reply if the message says enough. For anything that went wrong, the four things that save a round trip are:

• Which tool, and whether the file was an image or a video.
• Your browser and device — “Chrome on a Pixel” is enough.
• What the Detection panel said, if it was the watermark remover: the match score, the area size and the position.
• A screenshot of the result. Please do not attach the file itself unless we ask — your media never reaches us through the tool and we would rather it stayed that way.

What we can help with

• A tool misbehaving — a watermark that is not found, a video that will not open, an export that looks wrong.
• A correction to an article. These products change every few weeks and the blog will go out of date; if something is wrong, we would rather fix it than leave it up.
• Copyright and takedown requests. Write with the detail you would put in a formal notice and it will be handled promptly.
• Advertising and partnership questions.
• Privacy questions about what is and is not recorded. The privacy page answers most of them already.

What we cannot help with

• Removing SynthID. Google’s invisible watermark is not removable by any browser tool, including this one, and we will not pretend otherwise. The reasons are in what SynthID is.
• Google account problems. Missing settings, plan limits and app bugs are Google’s to answer, not ours — though the article on the missing watermark setting may save you the message.
• Recovering a file. Nothing is stored anywhere, so there is nothing to recover. If you closed the tab before downloading, the result is gone and the original is untouched.

Before you write

Three pages answer most of what arrives: the FAQ, how the removal works, and the privacy page. If they do not, write anyway — a question that is not answered there is usually a sign that a page needs improving.
